Services: Threat Information Postings (TIPs)

Echo4 is pleased to provide clients with information circulars concerning emerging threats to their international operations. These circulars are designed to be of immediate tactical value and are produced and distributed via email within 12 hours of an event. Severed versions of the circulars are subsequently posted to this site for general use at month's end. Please note the following acronyms/abbreviations used in the TIPs:

  • DTG refers to Date/Time/Group, where the first two numbers are the date, the next four are the time (using 24 hour clock), followed by the time zone indicator (either L for local or Z for Greenwich Mean), followed by the month, and finally the year. Example: An event is reported at 10:00 A.M. local time in New York on January 1st, 2008. The TIP DTG would read 011500Z January 2008.
  • LOCN refers to the location of the event.
  • ACTORS refer to key persons/groups involved in the event.
